It isn’t sufficient to want – you’ve got to ask yourself what you are going to do to get the things you want.
-Franklin D. Roosevelt
You can always hope, dream, and pray for the things you want in life, however, if you’re not willing to do what it takes to achieve these things once the doors have been opened, then all it will ever be is a hope, a dream, and a prayer.
If you are in desperate need of change or there is something your little heart desires, whether it’s a career change, financial stability, a healthier lifestyle; maybe you want to get in touch with your Faith or maybe in touch with yourself? Whatever it is, you (yes you) must be willing to do the work, to learn new skills, to break bad habits or to make better choices.
Take a tip from the homeless, “the homeless?” you say; Yes, the homeless. They seem to have it down, they know what they want ‘Food’ and they know what they’ll do to get it ‘Work’ – hence the adage “WILL WRK 4 FOOD.” (Well that was a stretch but you get what I mean.)
You see, If you’re not willing to put in the work, then you must be willing to accept your current circumstances (which means starve, for some homeless…or beg) but you don’t want to do either of those!
So I challenge you, if there’s something you want in your life, open your eyes and open your heart, the door may already be open but you must be ready to take – not just the first step – but the second, third, and fourth as well…come on, I know you can do it!
I’d love to know what you all want and are willing to work for, message me below and let me know what your sign would say, mine would say “WILL WRK 4 HAPPINESS”
My sign would read “Will-Wrk-4-Peace”!
