I Want It Now!
For some reason, life has seemed to be unproductive and almost at a stalemate for me recently, which of course has caused me to become frustrated and agitated because things aren’t going ‘my way.’
But then, just as I’ve hit this fork in the road and am confused about which way I’m supposed to go, God appears – just in time.
I recently heard someone say “when we think God isn’t working at all, that’s when He’s working the most” and I’m finally experiencing and learning this for myself.
What about you, have you ever experienced this?
I’m realizing that over time, we have become very inpatient human beings. We are so spoiled with the technology and fast paced world of today that we expect things NOW and have no clue what it means to wait or be patient.
That’s exactly how I’ve been acting lately, not towards other people but the most important person – GOD.
What a spoiled brat I’ve been, throwing a tantrum because things aren’t happening the way I want them to, when I want them to. I bet if God decided to give me what I had in mind for myself, I would still be unhappy!
Let’s face it, He knows what’s best for us – even better than we do.
Sometimes our ideas for ourselves seem good in the whole picture but when you dissect it and look closer at it, it may be all wrong.
Slowly and Suddenly
I also heard someone say that God works in two ways, “slowly” and “suddenly” and isn’t that the truth!
All along, while I’m throwing this tantrum, God is quietly and slowly working behind the scenes setting things in place, telling me “just wait – be patient.”
Here I am, in the midst of my tantrum, when suddenly God reveals Himself to me.
Like a small child, crying for the tiny cookie they want so badly, when all along the parent has a giant cake waiting at home.
The problem that lies with many of us is that we can’t be patient, instead we turn our backs on God and do what we think is best – which often times is not.
I’m learning that only the best rewards and the biggest blessings come to those who wait.
I’m continually amazed at my blessings and that’s why I must share with you all.
If you’ve been feeling the same way lately just know, God is always on time, it may not be your time but His timing is best.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

Until next time…put into prayer – then put into action.
Amen girl! This is soooo true. Such a good reminder.
