Today is the Day

Today is a bittersweet day for me, 11 years ago I weathered the worst storm thinkable when my daughter went to be with the Lord; today also happens to be Palm Sunday, the day when Jesus entered into Jerusalem as He prepared to give the ultimate sacrifice – His life for our sins.

Not only does God know the pain of losing a child but He sent his child to die for us. He watched as his son was mocked, ridiculed, tempted, beaten and crucified – all because of his love for us.

It brings me so much peace knowing that He loves me that much.

I won’t always understand and I’ll always have questions but I’ll never have doubt. My strength is greater today than it’s ever been but most importantly my relationship and love for God is like never before.

Like a loving parent He has embraced and comforted me in my time of pain and sadness and now my days are filled with peace and joy.

I wish that everyone could know this – I write this today so that everyone can know it.

Whether you’ve gone through some storms that you don’t understand just know that He is waiting.

Today is the day…

AnIta, you are such an inspiration I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to spend time with you. I think of you often and will keep you in my prayers. Our peace and joy can only come from Him.

Anita I have watched over the years you embrace the Love of God and stand stronger than anyone I know. It is comforting to all of us who have experienced our children taken in a flash that our God is real and we will be reunited with them again one day! Thank you for letting your light shine through the darkness!…Love You!!!

You are so wonderful, thank you for the kind words but it’s only by His grace that I’m the woman I am today. Not letting anything dim this light!
