My Love Letter

As I sit here at the cemetery, celebrating what would be Aryanna’s 13th birthday, I can’t help but wonder what I would say to her on this big day?

I’m sure she’d be excited and nervous all at the same time. She would be becoming a young woman and figuring her way through friends and boys (weeell hopefully not boys at this age).

She would be going through the rollercoasters of life and struggling with how to deal with hormones and girl stuff.  She would be transitioning from middle school into high school and worrying about the unknown world of being a freshman. This would have been a pivotal point in her life, where doubts and fears really start to take shape; my role and guidance as a mom would be critical at this time.

So what would I tell her?

I think I’d start by telling her what a beautiful and precious young woman and child of God she is. I’d tell her that these next stages of her life were going to be challenging, demanding and frustrating at times but only for a season.  I’d teach her to put her faith in God and live up to only His standards. I’d tell her that beauty comes from within and how she radiates as bright as the brightest star. I’d tell her even when she’s upset with me that no matter what, I’d always be her mom…and of course I’d tell her that I love her more than words could ever say.

But I can’t tell her, so I’ve written her this love letter instead…

With love,

Mom

    So beautifully said.
Luv u and praying for u always.
Nita u continue to encourage and inspire me with every single post. The Lord has such a great calling on your life and Aryanna is up in heaven with our Heavenly Father rejoicing in ur faithfulness and all you are doing to bring Him glory. He will one day tell u “well done good and faithful servant”. I’m so proud of u and I know Aryanna is proud of her mommy as well.
