Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—”

Father, I pray that you would help me to prepare and protect myself everyday. I know the more I serve and follow you, the more I will be under attack. Help me to wear your truth around my waist, so that I will not be swayed or tempted by gossip or lies; help me to put on the breastplate of righteousness so that I may protect my heart and keep it guarded; may my feet be covered with your gospel of peace so that I may walk the path you have provided for me and share your greatness along the way; may I always carry my shield of faith and never let my guard down; may your helmet of salvation protect my mind and thoughts so that I will never forget the sacrifice you made; your word is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12) and I will carry it with me wherever I go. 

Thank you Father for equipping me with all I need to stand strong in faith; I pray that you would give me courage and strength to face those things which I fear and help me to remember that You are greater than it all. In Jesus’ name – Amen.
