Father, I come humbly before you as I dwell in your word and I pray for your continued guidance. Please continue to teach me how I am to live, show me how to have peace and joy and to continue to seek your direction. Help me to speak only kind words to others, words that lift them up, words that encourage. This can be especially hard with those we love most; forgive me for being short or unkind or short-tempered with those closest to me. Give me patience and gentleness towards them.
I pray Father, that you would help me to speak kind words to myself as well. I am my own worst critic and the enemy knows how to use my mind and thoughts against me and he tries to keep me from living a life in line with your will. Help me to remember I am a child of God and a woman of your word and please don’t allow any weapon formed against me to prosper; especially my own self-doubt.
Go before me this week and prepare the way; forgive me if I stray or stumble. Strengthen me in the areas where I am weak. Help me to be a blessing to others by the words I speak (or write) and help me to give glory to you always.
Thank you for your guidance, thank you for your peace and thank you for loving me.
I pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.
(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and/or week. Maybe you don’t know God very well or are not sure how to pray to Him, hopefully this will help guide you. I pray this speaks to someone out there. Thanks for stopping by and God Bless.)
