Father, thank you for your word, this wonderful book of life that reveals your truth, your wonder and your magnificence. There is no way I can truly know you without reading and spending time in your word, which you say is ALIVE and POWERFUL! 

Forgive me for not spending time in your word; forgive me for being too busy, too distracted and honestly too lazy to spend this intimate time with you. 

Help me Lord, to seek and desire your word daily because without it I am lost. Expose my innermost thoughts and desires and remove those things which are not pleasing to you. Keep me from being tempted by the enemy who distracts and attacks me every time I try to spend time with you.  

Thank you for breathing this book into existence which reveals all I need to know about life’s mysteries and all I need to know about you; it answers every question I could ever have and all I need to do is open it up and let it speak to me – Please speak to me.
