Meditation Monday: Enduring Trials

“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father, you are an amazing God who remains true to his word and promises. I know in this life I will face trials and temptation, I know just being a Christian does not mean I am free of all the troubles of this world, it just means I have your strength to help me endure what may come.

Forgive me when I lose heart and patience; forgive me when I take my eyes off of you and try to handle things on my own. Please help me to overcome the trials and temptations of this world.  I may not always understand your plan for my life but give me your wisdom, discernment and understanding to make wise ‘godly’ decisions instead of relying on my own unpredictable emotions.

Give me strength to press on and resist temptation; give me the heart to endure whatever I may have to face so that I can receive the crown of life which you promised. Go before me this week and lead the way and thank you in advance for your strength and your grace.  I pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.

(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and/or week. Maybe you don’t know God very well or are not sure how to pray to Him, hopefully this will help guide you. I pray this speaks to someone out there. Thanks for stopping by and God Bless.)

Have a great week, God Bless!
