Meditation Monday: Soul Food

“And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Father, there is nothing like your amazing love that feeds my soul and nothing like your encouraging word which quenches my thirst! You know exactly what we need to be completely nourished from the inside out. Without you we are dead inside. There are so many people in the world that are spiritually starving, they are seeking and searching for something to satisfy this burning hunger of theirs and there you are just waiting. I pray that they would quit looking inward and start looking upward; I pray that they would taste for themselves all the goodness that you offer.

Lord I pray for my own spiritual appetite; forgive me when I try satisfying my own needs, I know this usually happens when I’m not spending time with you and seeking you diligently. Help me to stay obedient, to stay away from temptations and stay away from things that may appear appetizing but that I know will leave me with a bitter taste. Help me to draw near to you, pour your Holy Spirit into me so that I may be full of you and will have no room left for anything else.

Please go before me this week, protect me, guide me and strengthen me. Give me wisdom and understanding for whatever may come my way; help me to make godly decisions that will be pleasing to you and thank you for this life you have given me. I pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.

(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and/or week. Maybe you don’t know God very well or are not sure how to pray to Him, hopefully this will help guide you. I pray this speaks to someone out there.)

Have a great week, God Bless!
