“Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found.” Psalms 119:35 NLT
Father, I know your commands, your word and your promises are all for my sake and well being. Everything you tell us is meant only for our good and never for our harm. How amazing your love for me is! But how much I take it for granted.
I love this verse and how it says “make me walk along the path of your commands” it doesn’t say show me or help me – it says make me; I know that the flesh is very stubborn and weak and I need more than guidance and direction to follow the path you’ve set before me, my soul needs to be made.
Forgive me when I’m weak; forgive me when I stray. Make me follow your commands Lord. Help me to tie them around my neck and write them on the tablet of my heart. Keep me from being tempted to veer off course and from falling into the traps of the enemy.
Thank you for being the light and the way, in you my happiness is found.
In Jesus’ name I pray – Amen.
