Through the eyes of a Lion

I am currently reading Pastor Levi Lusko’s book, Through the Eyes of a Lion, (thanks to a godly woman of his word who recommended it).

It’s had me tearful, joyful and, most importantly, hopeful in just about every chapter; maybe it’s because the loss and longing he expresses for his daughter is all too real or maybe it’s the strength and faith that he and his wife portray that’s awe inspiring.  Either way, it shines God’s grace throughout.

Today I came upon chapter 7 titled, There’s No Such Thing As A Wireless Anchor, where Pastor Lusko portrays a perfect picture of our anchor as Christians in the excerpt below:

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast. Hebrews‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

A boat that is anchored can be battered, but it won’t be moved. Because of Jesus, we have hope. And because of hope, even in the midst of the worst storms of this life, we have an anchor for our souls.

Talk about the perfect analogy of what hope in Jesus does for our soul.

I would definitely recommend and encourage you to read this book because no matter what type of storm you’ve weathered or will weather in the future, if Jesus is your anchor you will not be moved.

I’m still reading through the final chapters and will share more nuggets of wisdom.

For more information on the book, you can find it in the book section of this blog.

Any other recommendations? Please send my way!

God Bless.
