Meditation Monday: No Fear

“The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father God, I am so thankful and blessed to have the reassurance of you on my side. To think, I have the creator of Heaven and Earth; the one who spoke this world into existence and knew me before I was even born; the one who knows every star in the sky and every hair on my head — this is the God who is for me. It’s so incomprehensible at times!

Yet, there are times when I forget this truth; times when I fear people more than I fear you. Forgive me when I do this, forgive me when my focus is on people’s opinions and thoughts of me. I know this always ends up in worry and self-doubt. You say, “What can mere man do?” and this is true.

Help me to have no fear when it comes to people; help me to remember that You are on my side and Your thoughts of me are only of good and never for harm and that is the only opinion that matters.

Give me confidence and reassurance in this truth. Keep my flesh and the enemy from inserting worry and fear and instead, help me to keep your word on the tablet of my heart.

Thank you Father, for loving me as you do and thank you for giving me peace, hope, and strength. I pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.

(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and week. The Lord tells us to meditate in His word day and night (Joshua 1:8) so read the scripture, pray the prayer and meditate as you wait for Him to speak to you.)

Amen, yes when we start our day/week off remembering that God is for us, it really puts our worries and fears in their place. God bless.
