Meditation Monday: Do Everything With Love

“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.”‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father, you are the true epitome of Love – You are Love! Your word says we love because you first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

Teach me how to love like you do. I know I am guilty of being selfish and unloving at times and as your word says, what good am I without love?

I could memorize verse after verse, scripture after scripture; even if I could quote your word at a moments notice it would all be for nothing if I did it without love.

I pray that all I do can be done in love, however, I’m a sinner who is selfish and unloving at times and I need your help Lord. Please renew me with your Holy Spirit daily, guide me and convict me when I am doing things without love.

Give me a heart like yours; a heart that is patient, kind, hopeful and a heart that endures all.

Thank you for loving me as you do and I surrender my heart to you, cleanse and mold it into a reflection of You!

I pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.
