“And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil that is understanding.’” Job 28:28
Heavenly Father, I come before you in complete respect, humility and adoration of your greatness, your faithfulness and your love.
You have proven time and time again just how glorious you are. There is none like you, I see your greatness all around me; I look towards the sky and there you’re revealed in the beauty of a sunrise and the vastness of the stars; if I look down to the ground there too you’re revealed from the beautiful budding flowers to the creepy crawlers that scurry along — You made it all!
Sometimes this is too wonderful and overwhelming for my little brain to comprehend!
But I am in awe and true reverential fear of you.
Forgive me if I ever lose sight of your greatness; it’s this truth that gives me the willingness to serve you, to love you and to do what’s pleasing to you instead of trying to please myself. This is pure wisdom which no man or woman can provide.
Continue to give me the wisdom and understanding to persevere and endure in all that this life may bring.
I thank you for your love and mercy and your greatness and may I take the time each day to reflect and meditate on this truth.
I pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.
(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and week. The Lord tells us to meditate in His word day and night (Joshua 1:8) so read the scripture, pray the prayer and meditate as you wait for Him to speak to you.)
Thank you for visiting, God bless.
