“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”(Romans 8:11 NKJV)
Father, thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit and the gift of Life. Before you I was dead, only a shell of a human roaming about this Earth. It wasn’t until I came to truly know you that I began to live.
How wonderful to know that you dwell in me!
The God who healed the sick and delivered the poor; the God who flung the stars across the sky and who raised Jesus from the dead – dwells in me!
I am so undeserving but you love me still. You dwell in a body that is prone to wander, prone to temptation and easily led astray; forgive me when I do so. Forgive me when I do those things that are displeasing to you. I am weak but you are strong.
Pour your Holy Spirit into me Lord, give me a fresh cup of you every morning. Continue to empty me of myself so there’s more room for you. Give me direction, guidance and discernment in all that I do because without you I am lost.
I pray this in Jesus’ name – Amen.
(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and week. The Lord tells us to meditate in His word day and night (Joshua 1:8) so read the scripture, pray the prayer and meditate as you wait for Him to speak to you.)
Thank you for visiting, God bless.
