“He must increase, but I must decrease.”(‭‭John‬ ‭3:30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Father God, you are all-powerful and all-knowing; you hold the whole universe in your hand and the earth is used as your footstool. How foolish of me to think I am powerful in my own strength. How foolish of me to keep your greatness at a distance as I flail and struggle to stay above water. 

Forgive me when I am so full of myself that I leave no room for you.  I know I must be emptied out in order for your love and goodness to fill me. 

I surrender this broken vessel to you Lord. Pour me out, drain me dry, fill me with your love; overflow me Father with your strength and your Holy Spirit. 

I can do all things (only) through You, who strengthens me; help me to remember this truth.   

I pray in Jesus’ name -Amen.
