Meditation Monday: Repentence and Rest

“For thus the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, has said, “In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.” But you were not willing,” (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30:15‬ ‭NASB‬‬)

Father God, your wisdom and truth is soothing to my soul. You are the mighty physician who gives us a prescription for all of our ailments.

In a world where ‘busy’ is the latest trend and the number one illness is stress, all you desire is that we be still. True salvation comes when we repent and rest.

Forgive me when I deceive myself in my busyness; when I go about my day, stressed and tired and weak–looking down instead of looking up.

Help me Lord to be still and trust in you. Convict me when I am living in the flesh and going along with the ‘busy’ herd. Remind me that I don’t have to do it all and be it all; in you my strength is found.

Thank you for your tender mercies and faithfulness

I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and week. The Lord tells us to meditate in His word day and night (Joshua 1:8) so read the scripture, pray the prayer and meditate as you wait for Him to speak to you.)

Thank you for visiting, God bless.
