Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ to teach us, to lead us, to save us and to give us rest. 

How encouraging to know when I become worrisome, stressed or overwhelmed that I can lay all my burdens at your feet. Thank you for this precious gift. Please keep me from forgetting this truth Lord. When the weight of the world is on my shoulders, help me to turn it over to you. 

I pray for those who are carrying heavy burdens today; for those who have no hope and are at the end of their own strength. I pray they would seek you and find you. I pray they would find rest for their souls. 

Please fill me with your Holy Spirit today. Renew me. Refresh me. Replenish my soul. 

In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
