“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” (Colossians‬ ‭3:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Heavenly Father, thank you for choosing me and loving me. Thank you for showing me what true tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience is through your perfect example in Jesus Christ. 

Forgive me when I don’t reflect the godly characteristics that you so desire. Help me to put off those things that displease you and put on those things that bring joy to your heart. 

Fill me afresh with your Holy Spirit and help me to walk in your will. Convict me when I wander and drift and protect from the schemes of the enemy. Help me to be clothed with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience as I go out in the world so that others might catch a glimpse of your love.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
