Heavenly Father, you are the only one who can satisfy the cravings of our soul. No matter how hard we work, how much we seek and how much we achieve, none of it will fulfill us like a fresh filling of you.

Forgive me Lord when I’m lured by the pleasures and possessions of this world. Forgive me when the cravings of my flesh overcome the cravings of my soul. In the end, I’m always left hungry and thirsty for more. I pray for your strength Father; strength to avoid the temptations of this world, strength to remain steadfast in my faith and to continue to fulfill Your will and not mine.

I pray for those who constantly crave the things of this world, for those who are stuffed with worldly things but continually left hungry for more. I pray you would help them to know you are the only one who can satisfy those cravings; a satisfaction that goes beyond physical needs and permeates the soul.

My soul longs to be fed by your Spirit Lord.  Replace these hunger pains with the Bread of Life. Help me to seek you, to please you and to surrender each day to you.
