Meditation Monday: Fix My Thoughts on What is True

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬

Heavenly Father, as I meditate on this verse, I realize that it speaks specifically of you. YOU are what’s true, honorable, right, pure, lovely and admirable. YOU are excellent and worthy of all praise!

I know when my thoughts are not set on you, my head and my heart suffer.

Forgive me Lord when I’m not focused on you; help me in my weakness. Take hold of my thoughts and give me a laser like focus on your truth.

I pray for those who are captivated and held hostage by negative and sinful thoughts. I pray you would free them from the mess and make room for your wonderful message. I pray they would experience a life of peace and joy.

Go before me this week Lord, help me to meditate on your Word day and night. Guide my thoughts in all that I do and keep the enemy from taking hold. I thank you and I praise you.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and week. The Lord tells us to meditate in His word day and night (Joshua 1:8) so read the scripture, pray the prayer and meditate as you wait for Him to speak to you.)

Thank you for visiting, God bless.

Anita Marie
