Heavenly Father, thank you for being a God of compassion and mercy and grace. How amazing that we have a God who bends down and listens to our prayers (Psalm 116:2). Thank you for hearing the cries of my heart.

I pray that you give me patience Lord, when my prayers appear to go unanswered. Give me reassurance and confidence to trust in you and to wait upon you. I know that you will answer my prayers — not in my way but yours.

I lift up anyone reading this right now Lord, I pray that you would hear the cries of their heart and meet them right where they are and whatever season of life they are in. Give them patience during times of waiting on you and help them to continue to trust in your promises.

Lord, please go before me this week and help me to use this gift of prayer fervently, as a powerful tool and weapon against the enemy. Remind me that I can come boldly to you at any time. Help me to use prayer not as the “only thing” I can do but the “most important thing” I can do every day. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
