Meditation Monday: I Will Not Fear

“Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?” (Psalms‬ ‭56:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Heavenly Father, thank you for your protection and provision. Thank you for being my rock and my shield; my shelter and protector. Your word is filled with verse after verse commanding us not to be afraid because You are with us. There is nowhere we can go that you are not there. I know Father, it’s only when we take our eyes off of you that we begin to sink in the deep waters of despair. It’s only then that our fears begin to grab a foothold.

Forgive me Lord when I feed my fear instead of my faith. Forgive me when I let the cares of this world overshadow your great power and strength. Help me to trust in you wholeheartedly and to praise you in all circumstances. Teach me new ways to trust in you.

I pray you would go before me this week Lord. Remove any fears and anxieties that are hindering my faith; draw me near to you and replenish my soul. I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
