Heavenly Father, this is my heart’s one true desire — to seek YOU all the days of my life. To seek your perfection, your love, your wisdom, your guidance, your peace, your joy, your strength, and your sovereignty.

My soul longs to know you in deep and intimate ways, but my flesh — my flesh has other plans. Forgive me Lord, when I am not dwelling in your house and when I am not seeking and meditating on you. Remove those things that are a distraction from you and those things that are hindering my walk with you. Help me to overcome my selfish desires that take root and steer me off course.

Thank you Lord for your goodness and grace. Please give me a focus and a burning desire to seek you first, all the days of my life. Help to feel your presence today and this week; may I delight in you and meditate in your temple.
