“And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Heavenly Father, how beautiful this command is. This is the kind of love you have for us; an unfailing, unselfish, undeserving love. 

Help me Lord, to love you with all my heart, soul, and strength. Forgive me when I give my heart to other things or share only a portion of my love with you. I know you are a jealous God and desire all or nothing. I pray that my love would be a burning love for you, one that consumes me and draws me deeper in your depths. Remove the things from my heart that fight for my attention; the things that cause me to stumble and lose my way. 

I pray for those who love you halfheartedly. For those who know of you but don’t know you. I pray you would stir up their hearts and give them a deep desire for you. 

Lord God, please stir up my heart. Keep me from being content and comfortable in my walk with you. Pour your Holy Spirit into me; let me feel your presence as you do a work in me. Thank you for your love and mercy and grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
