Meditation Monday: Commit Yourselves Wholeheartedly

““So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors.”‭‭ Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:18-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Heavenly Father, thank you for your divine word and the instructions that you have provided us. Thank you for teaching us all that is good and right and pleasing in your sight. Help me Lord, to commit wholeheartedly to you.

Help me to sit at your feet Lord, and consume all your wisdom and guidance. Help me to meditate on You when I rise and before I sleep. Help me to speak your truth into my home, my workplace and those that I meet along the way.  Forgive me Lord, when I wander from your word. Forgive me when I am only halfheartedly committed to you. I know this way of living only results in anxious thoughts, discouragement and fear.

As I begin a new week, help me to tuck your word deep within my heart. I pray that I would wear your instructions around my neck like a precious stone necklace. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and help me to walk in a way that is pleasing to you Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and week. The Lord tells us to meditate on His word day and night (Joshua 1:8) so read the scripture, pray the prayer and meditate as you wait for Him to speak to you.)

Thank you for visiting, God bless.
