Meditation Monday: Run With Perseverance

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,”‭‭ Hebrews‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭(NIV‬‬)

Heavenly Father, thank you for the eternal hope that You’ve given to each one who believes. Thank you for setting me on this course of faith and for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ to be the example in completing the race You set before Him.

I fail daily, Father. I am a sinner who is so easily entangled by the snares and cares of the world. Help me to throw off all that hinders me. Point out those hidden trappings that I do not see. Help me to persevere in my faith and to be an example to all those around me.

Lord, go before me this week and help me to focus my gaze upon You. Run beside me, Lord, catch me when I stumble and fall behind. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me the strength to continue on. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and week. The Lord tells us to meditate on His word day and night (Joshua 1:8) so read the scripture, pray the prayer and meditate as you wait for Him to speak to you.)

Thank you for visiting, God bless.

What a great message. It is so easy to get caught up in worldly things that are of no benefit. Thank you Anita for sharing your gift of beautiful prayer 🙏 I pray that God will give me the strength and discipline to keep my eyes on Him✨
