Heavenly Father, thank you for the wonderful work You have given me. Thank you for the purpose you’ve placed in my heart long before I was even born. Help me to dedicate my life to fulfill Your perfect plan and not my own. 

Forgive me when I compare my gifts and talents, and life with others. You have given me a great assignment that is unique to my gifts and abilities; an assignment that only I can do. Help me to do the very best I can with what You have entrusted me with. 

I pray for those who are caught up in envy, jealousy and discontentment in their own lives. Remind them, Father of the great work you have waiting for them if they’ll look to You instead of others. Stir up the gifts within them and give them a renewed desire to serve You. 

Please prepare the way before me this week, Lord. Thank You for this life You’ve blessed me with; help me to do the work You’ve called me to do with enthusiasm and fullness of joy. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
