“For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.” Deuteronomy 11:10-12 (NKJV)
Heavenly Father, as I enter into this new year with hope and excitement, I look back in awe and wonder at all that you have done in my life. Thank you for pouring out Your blessings, love, mercy and grace over me. How often I’m reminded of how unworthy I am of this kind of love and at the same time, I’m reminded of how wonderful and faithful You are. Thank you for taking me out the land of “Egypt”. A past that I once knew which was filled with selfishness and sorrow. Thank you for crossing me over to a land filled with milk and honey. Thank you for allowing me to drink from the Living Water (John 4:14), which has turned my heart into an overflowing fountain.
Please go before me in this new year, lead me down the path which is best for me. Equip my heart for whatever hills and valleys I may face. I know Your eyes are always watching over me. There is nowhere I can go that is out of Your sight (Psalm 139:7). Help me to spend time in Your presence and to know You more intimately. Reveal new and hidden things to me and give me a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit. Use me in this new year as a vessel for Your truth. Give me boldnessand courage to share Your love with others. Take me on a journey with You Lord, like never before. “Here I am, send me.”(Isaiah 6:8)
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
(Meditation Monday: These scriptures and prayers are intended to give you encouragement for the day and week. The Lord tells us to meditate in His word day and night (Joshua 1:8) so read the scripture, pray the prayer and meditate as you wait for Him to speak to you.)
Thank you for visiting, God bless.
