“So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 NLT
Heavenly Father, this is the prayer of my heart, not only for myself but for all. Your grace is abundant and Your power is mighty. I could never repay You for the debt You paid with the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ. All I can do is honor You with my life and live the life You purposed for me long ago.
Forgive me when I forget all of the power that is available to me through Your Holy Spirit. Forgive me when I live a life of weakness and fear and timidity. I know I often get in the way of Your calling on my life. Give me the boldness, courage, and strength to live a life worthy of Your call. Help me to live a life that gives all glory and honor to You. I pray that my life would be a beacon of light, pointing the lost to You.
I pray for those Christians who are living a spiritually stagnant life and for those who are paralyzed by fear. I pray You would breathe new life into their lifeless soul. Help them to see the God they serve, in all Your greatness. Give them a new desire in their heart to accomplish all the good things they are prompted to do.
Please go before me this day and this week. Help me to walk in line with Your will. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear all the good things you would have me do in Your name. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
