“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me all that I need to walk boldly in faith. Thank You for equipping me with Your power, love and self-control. I know when I am fearful, it is not from You because You have not given me a spirit of fear. Help me to overcome those areas where I am fearful Lord. Help me to walk in the courage and power You have made available to me.

Forgive me when I allow my fears to keep me from serving You. Forgive me when fear becomes stronger than my faith. Throughout scripture you tell us “Do not be afraid.” Help me to cling to that truth.

I pray for all of those who are fearful. I pray You would give them the boldness, power, and strength to stand up tall and walk confidently in their faith.

Father, help me to claim the strength that is available through the power of Your Holy Spirit. May my faith be one of courage and self-control but above all else, may it all be done in love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
