Meditation Monday: I Will Not Be Shaken

“I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalms‬ ‭16:8‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Heavenly Father, thank you for being by my side at all times. No matter what the day may bring or what my circumstances might be, You are there. You see the hurts, struggles, fears, doubts and anxious thoughts that rage war within me. When I don’t have the words to speak, my soul cries out to you (Romans 8:26). How wonderful to know Your power and peace are available to me at all times. There are no problems or worries or pains that are more powerful than You Lord. Help me to set You continually before me. Help me to stand firm and rooted in Your truth. Like Gideon and his 300, help me to face each battle knowing that it has already been won.

Forgive me Father in those times when I turn to other things rather than seeking You. Forgive me when I’m not dwelling in Your presence and have not set You continually before me. Forgive me when I have not put on the full armor of God as You have commanded us to do daily.

I pray for those whose lives are being shaken. I pray for the unbeliever who has no hope to cling to. Use that shaking in their life to turn their hearts over to You, and may they experience a love like they’ve never known before. I pray for the believer who is being tested and tried. I pray that You would work it all out for good, Lord. I pray You would reveal Yourself to them in a way they’ve never known before. Like Job, may they walk away saying “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.” (Job 42:5).

As I enter into this new week, I know You have already gone before. Thank you in advance for all that You are going to show me, teach me and give me victory over. Because of You, I will not be shaken. In Jesus’ name, amen.
