“He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. The Lord has spoken!” (Isaiah‬ ‭25:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Heavenly Father, thank you for swallowing up death forever! Thank you for paying the wages for my sin. The magnitude of Your sacrifice is far too powerful for my mind to fully comprehend at times but I do know, it was my spot You took up on that cross; it was my sin that drove those nails into You; it was my rebellion that pierced your side — but it was Your perfect love that made the sacrifice despite it all. You have removed the fear of death and given us new hope for a life everlasting with You — a free gift to anyone willing to receive it.

I pray for those who have not yet received this free gift. I pray for those who don’t fully comprehend the power of the risen Christ. I pray You would give them eyes to see and ears to hear, teach them all about Your saving grace and the peace that awaits in the midst of surrender.

Thank You Lord for Your unfailing love. Please go before me this day and this week. Help me to be a shining light to those who are lost and give me the courage and wisdom to share the Good News with those in need of salvation. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
