Heavenly Father, thank You for wisdom and understanding, which surpasses anything this world could offer. You teach me all I need to know. A wisdom that can’t be taught in books or learned in school, but is only discovered through an intimate relationship with You. Morning by morning You fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me new understanding for the day.

Forgive me when I’m not seeking You daily and when I allow our relationship to become distant. Forgive me when worldly wisdom creeps in and I begin to follow my own will rather than Yours.

Lord, please go before me this week. Fill me with Your Spirit day by day; awaken me morning by morning and help me to walk in Your ways. Help me to be an instrument in Your hands. Bring me opportunities to comfort the weary and to bring hope to the hopeless. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
