“Put me on trial, Lord, and cross-examine me. Test my motives and my heart.” Psalms‬ ‭26:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing, unchanging love. Thank You for loving me the same today as You did yesterday. I know there is nothing I can do to make You love me more or less and I am so thankful for that.

Unlike Your steadfast love, my heart is fickle and easily deceived and I am in need of a heart-check. So I ask that You test my heart, Lord. Point out those things that are leading me astray. Open my spiritual eyes to see the things that I have been blinded by. Remove those barriers and obstacles that are keeping me from a close relationship with You. Help me to break free from the cares of this world, so You can use me in ways that are pleasing to You.

Go before me this day and this week, give me wisdom to see those things hidden deep down in my heart. Fill me with the mighty power of Your Holy Spirit and give me the self-discipline to do that which is pleasing to You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
