““Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes!” 1 Samuel 12:16 NIV
Heavenly Father, thank You for the favor and blessings You’ve poured upon my life. Thank You for the days filled with joy; the moments filled with peace and even the seasons of sorrow. Everything You have allowed has been used for my good. You are a God who can send thunder and rain in a moments notice, who can tear down strongholds in the blink of an eye and a God who can make the impossible possible. Help me to stand still and watch the wonderful works You are about to do.
Forgive me when I’m too busy with my head down that I fail to see You at work in my life. Forgive me when I’m too busy scampering about to stop and give You the glory and praise You deserve.
I pray for those who are consumed with worry and fear. Give them peace for their anxious heart; help them to feel Your presence and to see the great things You are waiting to do.
As I enter a new week, help me to “be still and know that you are God.” (Psalms 46:10) Give me the eyes to see You at work in all the intricate details of my life and I thank You for the wonderful works You have yet to do! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
