“The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.” Psalms‬ ‭51:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Heavenly Father, Your mercy and grace abounds beyond anything my mind can comprehend. Your mercies are new every morning (Lam. 3:23) and there is nothing I can do to separate myself from You. I fall short of Your glory (Romans 3:23) yet even still, You redeemed my life by the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Forgive me for my sinful and rebelling nature, Lord. My spirit is willing but my flesh is so weak (Matthew 26:41). Forgive me when I fall captive to sin and when my heart is in rebellion. Break me of those things that try to separate me from You. Help me to repent and return to You.

I pray for those who are in constant rebellion against You. I pray for those hardened hearts who refuse to acknowledge their need for You. I pray You would meet them in their brokenness. Reveal Your goodness and grace to them. Soften their souls and give them a repentant heart.

Please go before me this week, Lord. Point out any areas in need of repentance. Help me to lay all my broken pieces before You and may my life be a sweet smelling aroma to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
