“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Heavenly Father, thank You for the love that You have lavished on me. Thank You for adopting me into Your family and making me a child of God. You are a good good Father who sees beyond my flaws and sinfulness. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) and created me in Your own image (Gen 1:26). You withhold no good thing from me, even though I am unworthy and undeserving of this kind of love.

I pray for those who have never experienced Your love and saving grace and for those who feel alone, unloved, and unworthy. I pray they would bring their broken pieces to You so they could be made anew. I pray they would surrender their empty heart and be filled with a love and a peace that words cannot describe.

Please go before me this week Lord. Help me to walk in Your truth and love. Help me to love like You love. Help me to remember that I am a child of God and may my life be a reflection of You to those around me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
