Heavenly Father, thank you for the blessing of a new fresh year. I look ahead in hope and anticipation because I know the God who goes before me.  I look back in adoration as I see the path I walked, dripping in abundance. Thank you for the favor and provision You poured over me this past year. Thank you for both the highs and the lows, Lord. Thank you for all of the experiences, opportunities and even Your loving correction when I was going astray.

As I begin day one of this New Year, I know you have already set the right path before me. Help me to walk in obedience to You. Help me to fix my gaze upon You and to be steadfast in all my ways; keep me from looking to the right or to the left and may I continually trust in You (Psalm 4:25-27). In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
