Heavenly Father, You are the light of the world. Your light cuts through the darkness that engulfs this world and brings comfort and joy to those who embrace it. Thank You for illuminating my soul and for turning my darkness into light.

I pray for those who are walking in darkness. I pray for those whose only light is from the sun and the moon; an empty light that is here for awhile and then gone. I pray You would reveal Your glory to them Father. Open their eyes and their hearts to Your everlasting light and may they abound in Your Son.

As I enter into this new week Lord, help me to bask in Your glory. Give me a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit and may I shine forth Your light to those around me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
