Meditation Monday: Comfort Others

“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Heavenly Father, thank you for your unfailing love and comfort. Thank you for wrapping your arms around me in times of trouble and for bringing me peace. When I was down, you lifted me up; when I felt alone, you let me know you were near; when I felt hopeless, you brought me hope.

I pray for those who are hurting and hopeless, and for those who have been under attack by the enemy. I pray You would comfort them in this season of uncertainty and pain. I pray You would calm their anxious thoughts and help them find solid ground. I ask that you bring godly people into their lives who can walk alongside them and speak peace into their weary hearts.

Please go before me this week Lord. Give me wisdom and discernment to be in tune to those who are hurting around me. Help me to pour the peace and joy I’ve received from you into others; help me to be a light that points the hurting straight to you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
