Meditation Monday: My Soul Thirsts

“My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” Psalm‬ ‭42:2‬ ‭(NIV‬‬)

Heavenly Father, you are the only one who quenches my soul. When my bones are dry and brittle you breathe new life into them (Ezekiel 37:5).

When I’m as barren as a desert, you replenish me with springs of water (Psalm 107:35). As long as I am in your presence my soul is quenched. Forgive me Lord for not drinking from your well continually. Forgive me for the times I wander aimlessly in the wilderness, seeking and searching for something to satisfy me. All of it is like a mirage; promising much but delivering nothing. All I have to do is meet with You and you will fill my cup.

Help me to seek you daily Lord. How wonderful to know I can meet with my creator, the maker of heaven and earth, the almighty, all powerful God anytime of the day or night. There is nowhere I can go where you are not already there. My soul thirsts for more and more of you. Pour your Holy Spirit upon me and renew these dry bones. In Jesus’ name, amen.
