I opened my computer the other day and this little reminder popped up. Wow, 7 years ago I started this blog. 7 years ago I had a desire in my heart to encourage and uplift others. What started out in my eyes as a simple blog to motivate women, was in God’s eyes so much more. As I walked alongside Him, He began cultivating my heart and stripping away the dull superficial layers and revealing a beauty that comes from deep down within. He gave me a heart on fire for Him and the desire to uplift others through His word and His word alone.

What started off as “Words of Wisdom” eventually morphed into “Woman of His Word”. I thank each of you for supporting me in this journey and reading the words that spill out of my heart and onto the page.

Some of you may not know but my passion for writing comes in addition to working a full-time career, commuting one hour each way 5-days a week, raising a pre-teen boy, managing a home and being a wife to a husband (whose job by the way, is way more stressful then all of this wrapped together.)

Thank you for your grace when I go silent at times or when my posts are not consistent. Thank you for sharing when the words you read speak to you at just the right moment and when the Lord is doing amazing things in your life — that’s what keeps me going.

The one thing I do ask is for your prayers. Prayers for God to continue to fan the flame of writing, to give me perseverance to do what I love when life is happening all around me and may the words that I write always, always come from His Holy Spirit.
