“But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” Psalms 56:3 NLT
Heavenly Father, You are greater, mightier, and more powerful than any fear we face. You command us to not be afraid because You are with us everywhere we go (Joshua 1:9). Even when we walk through the darkest valley, You are with us (Psalm 23:4). Your word declares that we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37)…but even still, I don’t always feel this way. Sometimes the fear of what others think, fear of being a bad parent or spouse, fear of displeasing You or fear of not being “good enough” wins out. Sometimes I’m more weak than I am strong. Help me in my weakness Lord. Help me to put my trust in You when I am afraid.
Please go before me this week; help me to put on the full armor of God in order to fight off the doubts, fears, and lies that come against me. Give me a fresh filling of your Holy Spirit and help me to walk in Your strength. In Jesus’ name, amen.
