“that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJV
Heavenly Father, as I meditate on this verse, I’m reminded of the very fact that You dwell within our hearts. The more rooted and grounded we become in our faith, the closer we become to You. The width and the length and the depth of Your love for us is immeasurable and beyond our knowledge. How amazing is that? If I swam down to the furthest depths of the ocean, Your love is still deeper. If I flew a rocket into the vastness of the universe, Your love is still deeper. If I climbed the highest mountain, that still pales in comparison to Your greatness.
Forgive me when I am not being filled by You. Forgive me when I don’t take time to grow in Your word. Please go before me this day and this week Lord, help me to know the width, the length, the depth and the height of You. Help me to experience fullness of joy that only you can bring. Empty me of myself so that there’s more room for You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
