““You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.” Matthew 5:4 MSG
Heavenly Father, thank You for your loving kindness and faithfulness. You comfort us when we are sad and strengthen us when we are weak. You are our place of refuge in the storm and our guiding light through the darkest night. Lord, I pray for a world that is in need of comforting. There is so much hurt and sadness all around us. There are people today and everyday in a pit of despair. I pray that you would meet them there in that pit. I pray that you would embrace those who cry out to you. Embrace the parent who’s lost a child; embrace the spouse who’s lost their life partner; embrace those suffering from disease; embrace the lonely and the forgotten. Remind us Lord, that You are near. Remind us Lord of your steadfast love and the promises that You keep. Remind us of your Goodness.
Please go before me this day and week Lord. Help me to be your hands and feet and to bless, comfort, encourage, and embrace those you place in my path. Help me to speak Your truth into their lives and give them renewed hope and strength. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If you are hurting or suffering or in need of prayer, please let me know. I’d love to pray for you.
