“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.” Romans 5:3-4 NLT
Heavenly Father, thank you for the hope of salvation. Thank you for sacrificing your son to give us eternal life. We may not always have the greatest circumstances but we always have the greatest God. During these times of trouble would you help us to rejoice. Help us to rejoice in the fact that You are still sitting on the throne; help us to rejoice in the fact that Your promises are still true; help us rejoice in the fact that You will build us up and strengthen our character if we don’t lose hope.
Please go before me this day and this week Lord. Help me find even small ways to rejoice in the midst of each day. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to know that You are near. I pray for protection and peace to all those who are hurting, those who are sick and all who are hopeless. Fill them with your peace and comfort them with Your truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
